At AnonLink, your privacy is our highest priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our anonymous messaging platform including our website (anonlink.site) and our mobile application (AnonLink).

By using AnonLink in any form, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

On the Website & App

  • Anonymous Messages: Messages submitted through AnonLink without identifying the sender.
  • Basic Usage Data: Non-personal data such as page visits, device type, and browser or OS information.
  • View IDs: Unique identifiers you generate to access your anonymous message inbox. These are stored locally on your device.

On the Android App Only

  • Device ID: A hardware level device identifier is collected solely to verify and restore your subscription status across reinstalls. It is stored securely in our database and is not used for tracking or advertising purposes.
  • Push Notification Token: If you grant notification permission, a push token is to deliver message notifications. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
  • Subscription & Purchase Data: If you purchase a subscription via Google Play Billing, we store your plan type, purchase token, order ID, activation date, and expiry date to manage your subscription status. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play we never see or store your payment card details.
  • Local Device Storage: Message backups, link history, and subscription status may be saved locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly export it.
  • Advertising Data (AdMob): Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers, device information, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. See the AdMob section below for more detail.

What We Do Not Collect

  • Real names or usernames
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Account credentials or passwords
  • Precise GPS or location data
  • The identity of anonymous message senders
  • Payment card details (handled by Google Play)

How We Use Information

  • To deliver anonymous messages between users
  • To verify and restore subscription status across device reinstalls
  • To send push notifications when new messages arrive (with your permission)
  • To improve platform performance, stability, and security
  • To prevent abuse, spam, or illegal activity
  • To display advertisements that help keep the service free for non-subscribers

Advertising Google AdMob

The free version of the AnonLink mobile app displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies, advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), and device information to serve personalized ads based on your interests.

AdMob's data collection and use is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Users who purchase a subscription have all ads permanently removed and AdMob data collection is not triggered for their sessions.

Push Notifications

We use OneSignal to deliver push notifications to the Mobile app when new anonymous messages are received. OneSignal may collect device identifiers and notification interaction data to deliver and measure notifications.

You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use AnonLink, you can still view messages manually inside the app.

OneSignal's data practices are governed by OneSignal's Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions & Billing

AnonLink offers optional paid subscriptions (Monthly and Yearly) to remove all advertisements. Subscriptions are purchased through Google Play Billing. We do not process payments directly and do not have access to your payment card information.

To restore your subscription after reinstalling the app, we store your device ID, plan type, and subscription expiry date in our secure database. This data is used solely for subscription verification and is never shared with third parties.

Message Expiry & Deletion

Messages on AnonLink are temporary. Each anonymous message link has a user-selected expiration time. Once expired:

  • Messages are automatically deleted from our servers
  • The link becomes permanently inaccessible
  • Local phone backups remain on your device until you delete them

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data, including encrypted database storage and HTTPS only communication. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you not to share your View ID with anyone you do not trust.

Children's Privacy

AnonLink is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through our platform, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Since AnonLink does not collect personally identifiable information by design, most data requests will result in confirmation that we hold no identifiable data about you. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our platform evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of AnonLink after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
