Question 1

What is Anonlink Social?

Accepted Answer

Anonlink Social is a platform that lets you create an anonymous message link and share it with anyone. People can send you honest messages and ratings without revealing who they are. You can also create polls in the mobile app and share a link that anyone can open in a browser to vote. Messages arrive in your private inbox and you are notified instantly.

Question 2

Is Anonlink Social free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Creating an account, getting your personal anonymous link, and receiving messages is completely free. We offer an optional subscription to remove ads from the mobile app for users who prefer an ad-free experience.

Question 3

Who can use Anonlink Social?

Accepted Answer

Anonlink Social is available to anyone aged 13 and above. It is used by students, content creators, professionals, teachers, and anyone who wants to hear honest feedback from the people around them. The platform is accessible on the web and through our Android app.

Question 4

Do I need an account to send a message?

Accepted Answer

No. Anyone can send an anonymous message to a link owner, or vote in a poll, without creating an account or logging in. Only the person receiving personal messages or creating polls needs an account.

Question 5

What languages does Anonlink Social support?

Accepted Answer

The platform interface is currently in English. Messages can be sent in any language we do not restrict the language of message content, though our moderation filters work best with English and major world languages.

Question 6

Are senders truly anonymous?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When someone sends you a message through your anonymous link, we discard their IP address and device information before writing the message to our database. We do not store, log, or expose any information that could identify the sender to the recipient. Polls work differently: to enforce one vote per person we keep a voter record (see "How does Anonlink Social stop people voting twice?" under Polls & Voting). That record is never shown to the poll owner or to other voters.

Question 7

Can I find out who sent me a message?

Accepted Answer

No. Sender identity is not stored on our servers, which means it is technically impossible for us to tell you who sent a specific message even if we wanted to. This is a deliberate architectural decision, not just a policy.

Question 8

Does Anonlink Social sell my data?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We use your account information only to operate the platform and communicate with you about your account.

Question 9

What data does Anonlink Social collect about me?

Accepted Answer

For account holders, we collect your name, email address, and username. We also store the messages in your inbox until you delete them. We do not collect sender data for messages, location data, or behavioral profiling data. If you vote in a poll, we store which options you chose along with your IP address or device identifier so that each person can vote only once. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Question 10

Can law enforcement identify anonymous senders?

Accepted Answer

Because we do not store sender identity data, we have nothing to provide to law enforcement about sender identity in most cases. In very rare circumstances involving serious criminal activity, we cooperate fully with lawful legal process but the technical reality is that sender identity data is simply not retained.

Question 11

How long are messages stored?

Accepted Answer

Personal messages remain in your inbox until you delete them. Temporary links expire automatically: story links last 24 hours, and links created on the website last for the duration you choose (from 3 hours up to 2 days). Choosing a custom duration beyond that is a Premium feature in the mobile app. You can delete individual messages or clear your inbox at any time.

Question 12

How do I share my anonymous link?

Accepted Answer

After creating an account, your personal link is automatically generated as anonlink.site/personal/yourusername. You can copy it from your dashboard and share it anywhere your Instagram bio, Twitter/X profile, WhatsApp status, TikTok bio, or directly in a message to friends.

Question 13

What is the Rate Me link?

Accepted Answer

Your Rate Me link (anonlink.site/rate/yourusername) lets people give you an anonymous numerical rating along with a written comment. It is great for creators who want audience feedback, students wanting peer assessments, or anyone curious how others genuinely perceive them.

Question 14

Is there a limit to how many messages I can receive?

Accepted Answer

There is no cap on the number of messages you can receive. Your inbox can hold as many messages as you have received until you delete them.

Question 15

Can I reply to an anonymous message?

Accepted Answer

No. Because senders are truly anonymous and we do not store their identity, there is no mechanism to reply directly to an anonymous message. Some users post their reactions publicly on social media to respond to interesting messages.

Question 16

What happens if someone sends me something offensive?

Accepted Answer

Our content moderation system screens messages before they reach your inbox and blocks content that violates our guidelines. If something offensive gets through, you can delete the message or report it through contact us section. Our safety team reviews reported content within hours.

Question 17

Can I disable my anonymous link temporarily?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can toggle your personal anonymous link and Rate Me link on or off from your account settings at any time. When a link is disabled, visitors will see a message saying you are not accepting messages right now, and no new messages can be submitted.

Question 18

How do Anonlink Social polls work?

Accepted Answer

A poll owner creates a poll in the Anonlink Social mobile app, adds the options, and shares the poll link. Anyone with the link can open it in their browser and vote. The poll page shows the status (live, paused or ended), how many options there are, and, depending on the owner's settings, the live results.

Question 19

Do I need an account or the app to vote?

Accepted Answer

No. Voting is done from the poll link in any modern browser, with no account and no app. Creating and managing polls is done in the mobile app.

Question 20

Can I see other people's suggestions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If the poll owner allows voter suggestions, a "Suggestions from voters" list appears on the poll page and shows what other voters have suggested. It updates as new suggestions come in. Suggestions are shown as plain text with no names, so you can see the idea but not who wrote it. Poll owners can also review them in the app.

Question 21

How do I add my own suggestion?

Accepted Answer

When the owner has allowed suggestions, a "Your own suggestion" box appears above the options while voting is open. Choose your option, type your idea (at least 3 characters, up to 400), and tap Submit vote. Your suggestion is sent along with your vote. Please do not include personal details such as phone numbers, addresses or passwords, because other people who open the poll can read your suggestion.

Question 22

Can I change my vote after submitting?

Accepted Answer

No. Each person can vote once per poll. After you vote, the poll page shows your recorded selection so you can confirm what you chose.

Question 23

How does Anonlink Social stop people voting twice?

Accepted Answer

When you vote, we store a voter record containing the poll, the options you chose, and your IP address or a device identifier. We use it only to recognise a repeat vote on the same poll and to show you what you voted for. It is not shown to the poll owner or to other voters.

Question 24

Who can see how I voted?

Accepted Answer

In an anonymous poll, the owner sees totals per option and does not see who voted for what. In a non-anonymous poll, the owner asks you to enter a name or other identity details, and that text is shown to the poll owner next to your vote. The poll page tells you which kind of poll it is (Anonymous or Identified) before you vote.

Question 25

When are poll results shown?

Accepted Answer

The owner chooses: live results straight away, after the poll ends, or on a scheduled date. If results are hidden, the poll page says "Results hidden" until they are due.

Question 26

Which poll features need Premium or Pro?

Accepted Answer

Free polls are limited in the number of options and the number of polls you can create. Premium or Pro unlock option images, voter suggestions, non-anonymous (identified) polls and scheduled or delayed results. Some owner controls, such as pausing, ending early and extending a poll, are Pro features. Voting is always free for the people who receive the link.

Question 27

A suggestion or poll is offensive. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

Please report it through our Contact page with the poll link and, if relevant, the suggestion text. Content that breaks our Community Guidelines or Terms can be removed.

Accepted Answer

You can register with your email address and a password, or sign in quickly using your Google or Facebook account. After email verification, your anonymous links are immediately active.(on mobile app)

Question 29

Can I change my username?

Accepted Answer

Question 30

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Accepted Answer

Question 32

How do I see where my account is logged in?

Accepted Answer

Question 35

Does Anonlink Social use encryption?

Accepted Answer

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Account passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text. We do not currently offer end-to-end encryption of message content, which means message text is readable by platform administrators this is disclosed honestly in our Privacy Policy.

Question 36

Why are there ads in the mobile app?

Accepted Answer

Question 37

How do I remove ads?

Accepted Answer

Question 38

What is the custom duration option?

Accepted Answer

When you create an anonymous link on the website you can pick 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours or 2 days. A custom duration lets you set your own length and extend your link beyond that. It is a Premium feature and is available only in the Anonlink Social mobile app, so on the website the Custom option opens a prompt with the app download link.

Question 39

What do Premium and Pro include?

Accepted Answer

Besides removing ads, paid plans unlock extra features in the mobile app, including custom link durations and the poll features listed under Polls & Voting (option images, voter suggestions, identified polls and scheduled results).
